Softwood Siding Products Technical Sales Associate or Sales Manager
Compensation DOE range $45~$75k

We are a niche imported wood siding and paneling manufacturer looking for a Technical
Sales Associate or Sales Manager at our SE Portland location. Primary task is to support
retail customers throughout North America with commercial and technical subjects related
to lightweight framed wood cladding products and practices. Our specialty is Japanese sugi
siding and paneling. Candidates with carpentry, project management, architectural design,
or other related hands-on experience are encouraged to apply. Sales staff management or
other responsibilities will be allocated per candidate strength or development. This is a
commercial and technical sales support function requiring several years of experience
including previous construction and wood product knowledge, productivity software, good
customer service and clerical skills, fastidious organization, and a disciplined work ethic.
This is a full-time non-commission salaried position and with health insurance, PTO, and an
IRA program.

Bonus Skills Desired:
Japanese language fluency, both written and verbal
Marketing content writing such as a customer-facing blog
Experience with Quickbooks, Salesforce, Slack, etc
International trade documents and logistics
Experience working in Japan or with Japanese partners
Ability to make wood product samples
Knowledge of sustainability certifications, ASTM certifications, other compliance or
certifications
